Prosthesis 

Missing teeth can also be replaced using removable (by the patient himself/herself) dentures that are composed of acrylic resin plates that carry a plastic replica of the tooth that has to be replaced.In older patients, who desire replacement of their entire dentition ,complete dentures can be provided for the upper and lower jaws.

Root Canal Treatment 

Where a cavity has extended too deep into the tooth & severe pain and infection has set in a sterile procedure to seal off the infection has to be performed.The procedure involves removal of the infected pulp of the teeth, inserting medicaments & a sterile dressing into the root canal & sealing the cavity using an inert filling material.

It is recommended to conduct this procedure under antibiotic coverage. The procedure may be completed in a single /double sitting depending on the severity of the infection .Following a root canal treatment, it is mandatory to provide protection to the brittle tooth structure by reinforcing it with a crown.

Extraction

In situation , where the tooth is too badly infected or the [position of the tooth is too unfavorable and may cause problems in future, it may be advisable to extended the tooth.In situations where the tooth is too badly infected or the position of the tooth is too unfavorable and may predispose to infections/trauma in the future, it may advisable to extract the offending tooth.

The 3rd molar (wisdom teeth) are frequent candidates for extraction .Therapeutic extractions my be necessary, as a space gaining method, prior to Orthodontic therapy in certain patients.The procedure is performed under local anesthesia In certain special cases these procedures can be conducted under general anesthesia based upon the patients request.

Periodontal treatment

First and foremost, this service involves a counselling session where we educate our patients about the need to maintain good oral hygiene .We also demonstrate to them the ideal brushing techniques.We also advise them on a home -oral care regimen that is ideally suited for them ,which may comprise of the appropriate tooth brush,toothpaste, mouth rinses,gels and dental floss.

In Patients maintaining poor gum conditions ,we offer a range of therapies depending on the severity of the gum disorder. In mild gum enlargement & bleeding while brushing with/without bad odour in the mouth (halitosis) -> an oral prophylaxis (Scaling) could be instituted.The procedure utilizes ultra-sonic scaling instruments with gentle vibrations to dislodge the unwanted deposits(plaque and calculus) from the surface of the teeth.It also enables quick removal of extrinsic stains (caused due to excessive intake of tea,coffee ,smoking or chewing tobacco.)

Root planning & gingival curettage are slightly more extensive procedures required in patents having severe gum disorders. Gum surgeries (flap surgeries) may be rendered ,if warranted ,in patients in whom the teeth have been exposed at its neck due to gum recession and pocket formation.These are minor surgical procedures done under local anesthesia and anti-biotic coverage .A periodontal pack or dressing is provided in the local area where the surgery was performed to allow rapid and undisturbed healing. tooth.

Cosmetic treatment. 

Reconstruction of fractured or carious(having a cavity) teeth using tooth coloured composite (plastic) filling material. These filling materials are available in over 25 shades ,hence it is possible to find the exact match of a persons tooth colour and restore it perfectly. For the teeth that are not visible externally as patient smiles or speaks ,silver amalgam or glass ionomer cements can be used for restoration.

  This procedure involves providing a layer of filling material on the facial aspect of the teeth in patients having disclosure front teeth.We also offer facial veneers made of ceramic material which provides a natural appeal to the patient.

We fabricate custom made trays (vacuum pressed bio-plastic material) on the patients tooth model and then use a special formulation that is spread on the tray and inserted into the patients mouth for a stipulated amount of time. Following the professional whitening,we provide you with the trays and a do-it-yourself whitening solution for periodic maintenance. Elimination of white spots and therapy for decalcified teeth We offer you a professional means of eliminating decalcified spots on your teeth using a special tooth mousse which arrests further decalcification and encourages re calcification by providing a rich and concentrated burst of calcium and phosphate ions.
